True artistry rests in each artist’s ability to delve deep within themselves and to support each other in that process of exploration. At dawsondancesf, our goals include providing a professional and supportive environment in which local talent can develop, grow, and take artistic risks, so as to create a thrivings ballet company with a reputation for excellence, risk-taking, and a regular season of productions.

It is our belief that the beauty and tradition of classical ballet can provide a solid foundation from which to move forward and explore other forms of dance. In the spirit of that movement forward, we wish to bring a broad array of works to the existing San Francisco dance audience, as well as to share dance with new audiences around the world.
